Wooden Mantra was formerly known as Vagana Pattari (Vaganam means vehicle and Pattari means workshop in Tamil), it has stood the tests of time and has survived for more than 200+ years crafting artifacts and working in all major temples across South India. These woodcarving techniques and skills were passed down among their family from one generation to another to date and at present, the craft is almost extinct.
We believe that blockchain not only helps preserve the skills, techniques passed down by their ancestors and preserve the culture and heritage of Tamil wood carving, it also helps in tracing back the origin, designer, and creator which was not possible before Satoshi Nakamoto's epic move. At present Wooden Mantra is taking baby steps towards web 3.0 and the metaverse. They have recently created a Physical NFT using resin and acrylic pattern which cannot be replicated and serves as proof of authenticity which also makes them one of the OG Physical NFT creators and the first to have used Tamil wood carving techniques.
The utilities are the preservation of culture and heritage, real-world usage of the art pieces as home decor eg: Artifacts, handcrafted furniture, services (Interior decoration), etc. depending upon the art piece listed.
The investor will be eligible to claim a one-time physical piece of the digital NFT he buys and we try to include the shipping along with the price of the digital NFT though we believe it won't be a problem with smaller artifacts when it comes to larger art pieces like a king-size bed or a dining table the shipping charge may vary from country to country and if that's the case, user can either flip the digital NFT to another buyer who is willing to bear the shipping, packing, tax, insurance ETC or bear the charges himself (only if the charges exceeds the buying price)
Initially, the funds collected from small artifacts will be used to create larger artifacts designed and crafted at WoodenMantra.NFT and when we are stabilized the plan will move towards creating WoodenMantra.DAO and when that becomes a reality we will be using part of the funds to plant saplings and make sure it grows into a tree to give back to mama earth, assisting other master woodcarvers to reach a global audience and fund new generation, woodcarvers in learning the craft.
